Youth/Children
Youth Group
Our Youth Group builds community through weekly youth group gatherings, service projects, retreats, and regular activities together.
Youth Group at United is open for all middle and high schoolers in grades 6-12. We believe God’s love shows up in every kind of story and every kind of person. Our youth group is a space where all identities are welcome and celebrated, where young people of all races, genders, sexual orientations, abilities, and backgrounds can show up fully as themselves and find belonging.

Weekly Youth Group
We meet on Wednesday nights from 5:30 to 6:30 pm in the youth room at United (during the school year). No two weeks are exactly the same: sometimes we dig into big faith questions, talk about real-life stuff through a biblical lens, or plan ways to serve others. Other times, we just play games or make art together. For more information, contact our Children & Youth Program Coordinator, Rev. Mey.
On Sundays, youth can either stay in worship or help out with children’s Faith Formation during the 10:30am service.
Additional Youth Activities
Our Youth Group plans and participates in service projects, service learning trips, and quarterly fun activities outside the church, such as bowling, painting pottery and more.

Confirmation
Confirmation is open to youth interested in deeper learning about their faith and confirming their membership in the congregation. For more information, contact our Children & Youth Program Coordinator, Rev. Mey.

Children
Extending our welcome to children and their families is part of our mission at United, we live out this mission by helping children to build community, excited to see their friends when they come to church.

All staff and volunteers who interact with children undergo background checks to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for your child.
Faith Friends for Children
During the 10:30am service, kids begin in worship with everyone else. After the Passing of the Peace, they’re invited up for a short children’s message—“Time on the Quilt”—before heading to the childcare room for Faith Friends. There they’ll hear stories, ask questions, do crafts, and spend time with their church friends.
Kids who arrive a few minutes early can help ring the church bell before worship starts!

4th Sunday Family Fun Day - currently on hiatus until Fall 2025
Every fourth Sunday, we usually stretch Faith Friends into Family Fun Day! After church, families can bring a lunch or dish to share, and kids play games like hide-and-seek and sardines all around the building. 4th Sunday Family Fun Day is on pause through the summer.

Quarterly Field Trips
Once a season, we plan a field trip just for fun—roller skating, trampoline parks, and other ways to play together outside the church.

For more information about any of these activities, contact our Children & Youth Program Coordinator, Rev. Mey.
