CHILDREN

At the United Churches, we value and celebrate the lives of children in our congregation. Jesus was clear when he said, "Let the children come to me!" And we strive to provide platforms where they can learn and wonder about God and who they are as unique and special creations of God. We provide trained childcare workers, faith formation teachers and mentors. We conduct background checks on all of our staff and volunteers who interact with children. We want your child to feel safe and accepted in this space.

Faith Formation for Children

During the 10:30am service, children join in a multi-age learning experience.

Children are introduced to sacred stories and are invited to wonder about them, their understanding of God and their place in God's big story.  Each week a story is told and enacted using materials from "story boxes" which bring stories to life in ways that allow children to interact with them, a time for art responses and the great feast (a sharing of snack and fellowship).
