Chancel Choir
Practice: Thursdays at 7:00 pm and every Sunday at 10:00 am
The choir generally sings for the 10:30 am Sanctuary worship.
The United Churches Chancel Choir is composed of dedicated volunteers who gather each Thursday evening at 7:00 pm from September to June to learn and rehearse choral music which then enlivens and enhances our worship services.
The chancel choir presents a variety of music throughout the church year, ranging from classical to contemporary styles. New singers are always welcome. If you are interested contact Dee Mortonour Director of Music.
Children’s Choir
Children ages kindergarten through fifth grade are welcome to sing with the newly-organized Children’s Choir. Music will be integrated with 2011-12 Sunday School rotational curriculum. Children’s Choir will sing occasionally at the opening of the 10:30 am worship hour. The group will be led by Choir Director Cheri Kelly, Sunday School teacher and professional music educator, assisted by Dee Morton.
Festival Choir
Practice for special occasions, such as Christmas and Easter.
Dates are set for the Festival Choir for the 2011-2012 worship season. If you are an adult that loves to sing, but the time commitment for Chancel Choir every week doesn’t fit your busy life of work, family or retirement travel, please consider our Festival Choir. We rehearse six weeks before each Festival Worship, at Christmas and Easter, with expanded instrumental accompaniment.

Song Circle

Song Circle is a group of musicians that practice and play for the 9 am service on the Second Sunday of the month. We are practicing on the first and last Monday of the month at 7 pm, preparing songs for the service.
Bell Choir
Bell Choir meets on Tuesday afternoons, from 4:00—5:30 pm in the Fireside Room. Experience reading music is helpful. New players are most welcome. Please call Lynne Palmer, Director, 866-9312, or Dee Morton if you are interested. Bell Choir plays periodically for worship, and joins with the Festival Choir at Christmas and Easter.
Chamber Ensembles
Classical instrumental musicians rehearse once a month on the fourth Sunday of the month, in the sanctuary, at 11:45 am, following the 10:30 am worship service. The Chamber Ensemble will play occasionally for worship at both the 9:00 am and 10:30 am services.
Family Worship Combo
Pianists, guitarists, drummers, woodwind players, and violinists make up the worship band which plays contemporary, song-style worship tunes for the monthly Family Worship, at 10:30 am on the fourth Sunday of each month. This service is led by the Sunday School youth, uses projected lyrics on the big screen, and is informal in style. Rehearsals for the Family Worship Combo will be on the third Sunday of each month, at 11:30 am in the sanctuary.
Youth Choir

Youth Choir includes singers from sixth grade through high school, and post-high school young adults who want to help. Trinity Sokol, Chancel Choir member, soloist, and graduate student in education at Evergreen State College, will direct the youth choir, assisted by Dee Morton.
