“A John Rutter Christmas,” this year’s Festival Choir cantata, was presented at the 9:00 am and 10:30 am worship services on December 11, in the sanctuary. The choir, soloists, and the new TUCO Classical Chamber Ensemble have been preparing the lovely music of the contemporary British composer John Rutter.
The cantata includes his original carols “Christmas Lullaby,” “Candlelight Carol,” and “Angel’s Carol,” plus Rutter arrangements of “O Come, O Come Immanuel,” and “The Holly and the Ivy.”
The services were followed by Gala Christmas Receptions hosted by Congregational Life Ministry.
Congregational Life and all bakers brought a plate of Christmas cookies to share on December 11th.
