Interfaith Earth Day Celebration: Trees of Life

BIKE, BUS or CARPOOL on April 22

Be a part of something green and join our “BBC” challenge! Bike, Bus or Carpool to church on Earth Day, April 22, and through the month of May, too, for those interested in living out our commitment to honoring God’s Creation by reducing our carbon footprint. Get Ready to Bicycle, Bus, or Carpool to Church

The BBC Challenge is a friendly challenge to see how well we can work as church to curb our own carbon emissions for the Sundays from Earth Day through the month of May.  (The month of May also marks the 25th anniversary of the Thurston County Bicycle Commuter Contest, and participants in that event will be able to count there energy saving accomplishments in both venues.)

Ecology and Science

The Theology, Natural Sciences, and Continuing Creation (TNSCC)  ministry helps the congregation gain a greater understanding of the relevance of scientific findings to the traditions, beliefs, and practices of persons of faith.  We do this by providing information to pastors, church leaders, members, and the larger community about areas in which ecology, the natural sciences, and technological advances may have an impact on the church’s mission and lives of participants.
