Lenten Study Begins this week

The season of Lent brings a time of reflection to our lives. It’s a time of self-discipline, giving up “bad” habits or beginning new, “good” ones. The adult education offering this year is a challenge to commit to a discipline of daily readings, contemplation and journaling using the writings of Howard Thurman, an African American pastor of the early 20th century.

New Small Group Bible Study for High School Youth

On January 6th, the high school youth  started meeting for a new and exciting  time of bible study, story telling and fellowship. We are looking for a few  adults to join us for an intergenerational experience about living our faith and recognizing God in our everyday  realities. Choir Kick-Off Picnic September 11

Chancel Choir resumes on Tuesday, September 11, with the annual fall Kick-Off Picnic, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, in the Carlyon Beach Clubhouse. This is a time to get re-acquainted and meet some new singers. Bring your family, plus a salad, side dish, or dessert to share. Main dish meats, rolls, and beverages will be furnished. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet and become better acquainted with those you see at worship.  We have 2 all group gatherings and 2 rotations of small groups during the year so you will broaden your church acquaintances.
