Pentecost Sunday, May 27 Special Offering

Each year, on Pentecost Sunday, we celebrate the coming of the Holy Spirit as a bringer of new life.  With the Spirit’s coming, we can know the transforming, redeeming love of God that makes the impossible possible.

April Pastor Seeking Update

The Pastor Seeking Committee has completed reviewing over 40 pastor profiles with some still coming in. We have selected about five candidates to take to the next step which is a telephone interview with the committee and review of a sermon from each candidate. The plan is to complete telephone screening interviews by the end of April. Then, we will invite the candidates we are interested in to come for an in person interview sometime in May. Congregational Meeting April 22

The Church Council has voted to call a congregational meeting on April 22, following the 10:30 service, to  discuss the issue of marriage equality.

This meeting replaces the previously announced meeting on April 15.

A Teacher’s Tour of South Africa

May’s Program Meeting for Black Hills Audubon Society will feature Deb Nickerson who was in South Africa last summer with the Toyota International Teacher Program which selected 24 teachers to travel the country learning about its history, culture, educational system and environmental stewardship projects done by school children in the Cape Town area. Three weeks were spent learning about some of their environmental issues and what is being done to alleviate their adverse impacts.
