No Chancel Choir practice this week

NOTICE: NO CHANCEL CHOIR THIS WEEK. We will take this Thursday off.

Olympia Chorale Concert

You are invited to attend the spring concert of the Olympia Chorale Society, ‘A World of Song’, on Friday April 13 and Saturday April 14 at 7:30pm, and Sunday April 15 at 2:30 pm.

The concert will be held at the Koval Center for the Performing Arts, 600 Sleater Kinney Rd. NW in Lacey. There is no admission charge. The program will include a Kenyan Mass, songs from South Africa, Ecuador, Israel, Japan, and Scotland.

Holy Week Organ Concerts, April 2-6, 12:15

During Holy Week, from 12:15 to 12:45 pm, United Churches and the Olympia Chapter of the American Guild of Organists will present a series of free concerts. Will Stuivenga and Kary W. Hyre of Olympia, Susan Bloomquist of Lacey and Michael Plagerman of Tacoma, all of whom are active parish organists, are the featured performers. Please drop in and enjoy the concerts. You are welcome to bring your sack lunch.

Maundy Thursday Communion, April 5, 6:30 pm

Maundy Thursday, April 5, at 6:30 pm, Pastor Tammy Stampfli will lead a contemplative remembrance of the Last Supper, concluding with Communion. Trinity Sokol will be the soloist and cantor for the short musical service, entitled “Holden Evening Prayer,” by Marty Haugen, a contemporary work with traditional texts and newly-composed music.

Palm Sunday

  Today is  Palm Sunday. Join us for worship at 9 am or 10:30. The church will be decorated with palm branches.

Palm Sunday, April 1, we will celebrate the entry of Jesus into Jerusalem with the traditional display of Palms. Hot Cross Buns will be served at the Fellowship hour following both services.

Palm Sunday marks the beginning of Holy Week.

Holy Week 2012

Holy Week is the week from Palm Sunday to Easter. During Holy Week, the congregation follows the footsteps of Jesus from his entry into Jerusalem (Palm/Passion Sunday:April 1) through the Last Supper (Maundy Thursday:April 5) to his death on the Cross (Good Friday:April 6).

Easter Sunday Coffee Hour

Join us Easter Sunday, April 8th for treats and fellowship after worship.

We’ll have tables set up in the Chapel area after each service with lots of goodies provided by many TUCO church friends.

Take a minute to stop, relax, and enjoy the blessings of Easter day!

Our choir will perform at the 10:30 service, and both services will be in the sanctuary.
