An Invitation to All Ministries & Committees

It’s a new season of leadership in our church family. There are new members of our committees and ministries joining the leaders that have guided our congregation for years.

As we welcome these changes and prepare to care for each other in the next year, all leadership of our ministries and committees are welcome to participate in a leadership orientation on Sunday February 10 from 4:30 pm – 6:00 pm.

We’ll meet in the Fireside Room to share in a few exercises ...

Marriage Equality in Washington State!

Dear sisters and brothers!
Hallelujah!
I can’t stop smiling.  I can barely believe its true.  Yesterday, Washington State voted to affirm marriage equality which means that, starting today, gay and lesbian couples who chose to marry have the same access to the privileges and protections that come with state law as do straight couples.  What an amazing, amazing day!
You all did this.  In Washington State, we built the largest religious coalition of marriage equality ...

Support for Housing Families

From now until July 2, the Public is invited to submit written comments to the Olympia City Council regarding the allocation of  federal funds and the transfer of the vacant Smith Building in the city’s downtown to the Family Support Center. If approved, the action would make possible for upwards of 60 adults and children to leave the streets for safe housing accommodations. Our support for this proposal is wholly consistent with the priority reflected in our local benevolence allocations ...

TUCO Supports Marriage Equality

The Church Council voted on April 12 to affirm the current Washington State law on marriage equality.  This law allows same-sex couples in civil unions or domestic partnerships to be legally married, and thereby entitled to the rights and responsibilities that the law previously allowed to married (heterosexual) couples only.

A congregational meeting will be held in the TUCO Sanctuary at 11:30 am on Sunday, April 22, immediately following the service.  The purpose of this meeting is to provide an opportunity for all who wish to ...

All that is needed is to come to First Christian Church at 9:00 am on Saturday morning.
