The concert is part of a ten-month tour, raising awareness and offering opportunities for sponsorships of children through Childcare Worldwide.

Feb 24 Ugandan Orphans Choir–hosts needed

United Churches’ Fine Arts Event Series is sponsoring the Ugandan Orphans Choir in concert on Sunday, February 24, at 5:00 pm. This delightful choir of eight-to-twelve year olds will sing and dance their hearts out for us. They are traveling internationally to raise awareness of the plight of Ugandan orphans, to offer sponsorships of orphans and to seek financial support for their orphanages.

Twelfth Night Celebration January 6

United Churches Fine Arts Event Series is pleased to present our second series
event, Twelfth Night Celebration, on Sunday, January 6, at 3:00

TUCO will again be hosting our annual Christmas Dinner at the Community Kitchen on Tuesday, December 11.

Barb McLean, Bill Edmundson and their wonderful volunteer crew at the Community Kitchen will be serving up our annual United Churches holiday dinner for the homeless and vulnerable populations. 

Our volunteers are still in need of some wonderful souls willing to return to their kitchens to cook up a turkey for our dinner guests or to provide some other food offerings for the ...

Thanks !

Special thanks for the September 29 workforce volunteers.  We were successful at reducing the  mounding of old beauty bark, applying new bark.  We did another whack at cutting back overgrown shrubs, trimming the hedge and sprucing up the gardens around the front entrance.

The Volunteers were John and Sue Poler, Dan Anderson, Russ Rose and Mark Hunter.  As always, Dan Lundberg was there doing his magic with the church  lawn.

Church Work Party September 29

We are planning another work party for Saturday September 29 from 9 am to 12 noon.

We really need as much help as we can get  to complete  all the tasks that need to be done.

These include:

-           General garden maintenance including hedge-trimming.  ( Does anyone have an power  hedge-trimmer?)

-          Further reduction of bushes around lower lot and removal of rhododendrums outside the social hall windows.  (free rhodies for anyone interested)

Chancel Choir resumes on Tuesday, September 11, with the annual fall Kick-Off Picnic, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, in the Carlyon Beach Clubhouse. This is a time to get re-acquainted and meet some new singers. Bring your family, plus a salad, side dish, or dessert to share. Main dish meats, rolls, and beverages will be furnished.
